Must Add Bucket List Destinations
There’s nothing quite like the anticipation of travel. Packing your bags, boarding your flight, and finally arriving at your destination. Whether you’re a seasoned traveler or just starting out, everyone has their dream destinations they want to visit someday. Below is a list of the top 5 locations we have traveled to and places we think people should add to their bucket list immediately!
Norway
Norway is by far my favorite country that we have visited thus far in my travels. If you enjoy traveling to winter destinations you much add Tromsø, Norway to the top if you list! There are endless outdoor activities to take part in and we were pleasantly surprised by the food options available! Below are some of the favorite activities we did and foods we ate, while visiting Olso and Tromsø, Norway back in December 2022!
If you are visiting Tromsø, we highly recommend doing an overnight stay at the Tromsø Wildnerness Center. While there you will stay in a Lavuu for the night, with full access to the property to play with the sled dogs and chase the Northern Lights. The next morning you will wake up and take the Sled Dogs out for a morning ride and finish your stay with a large breakfast!
The main reason we decided to fly up to the arctic circle and visit Tromsø, was to see the northern lights! This had been on my bucket list since I first started traveling and Tromsø did not disappoint. We booked our tour with Marrianne’s Heaven on Earth Aurora Chaser and cannot recommend her enough! We chased the lights for over 7-hours and saw sights that you can only dream of seeing!
If you are only visiting Olso, our favorite activity was participating in a Floating Sauna Experience. The sauna was located on the Olso Harbor, directly across from the Opera House! You are able to relax in the wood fired sauna and cool off by jumping into the frigid Olso Harbor. This was one of the more unique experiences we have had while traveling and one that I highly recommend to anything planning a trip to Olso!

IRELAND
Ireland is one of the few countries I’ve traveled to where I felt like I could actually live there. The scenery is amazing, the food was delicious, and it is home so of the most friendly and kind people that I have ever come across while traveling. We only visited the country for a brief 3-days. However, even in that short period of time, the country had a profound effect on us! We visited Ireland in November of 2023.
The Cliffs of Moher offer some of the most breath taking views that I have ever seen and is situated close to the cutest small town named Doolin. While visiting Temple Bar and the Guinness Factory may seem touristy, they are well worth visiting! Both offer a great insight into Irish culture and a fun, memorable experience while in Dublin!
Ireland is the perfect country to rent a car and embark on a long roadtrip! This is exactly what we did when we visited. We started our roadtrip in Dublin and drove down to Cork for the night. The next morning we woke up and toured the Blarney Castle, before taking the scenic drive to the Cliffs of Moher. After a long day of driving and hiking around the Cliffs of Moher, we ended the night in Doolin for dinner and drinks. We finished our trip by driving back to Dublin and exploring for a couple days.
While our stay on Ireland was brief, we truly feel like we were able to get a good feel for the country and I walked away with a new found passion for drinking Guinness! Ireland is ranked very high on our list of countries that we have visited and we absolutely cannot wait to travel back sometime in the near future!

Sydney, Australia
Australia is a special country for us, we first met back in 2019 when we were studying abroad in Sydney. Since then, Australia has been at the very top of the list for countries which we want to revisit. Some of our most fond memories in life, came from the experiences we had during our time abroad and we cannot recommend visiting Australia enough! While it is far to travel to from the United States, it is well worth it!

Sydney offers many great activities located right in the city! As well as many great things to do which are a short train ride, drive or ferry away. Bondi Beach is a short bus ride from downtown and you can visit Manley Beach by taking a scenic ferry ride! If you enjoy walking, Sydney is a very walkable city if you don’t mind getting a few steps in. While some attractions can be a decent distance away, the city offers many great walking paths and trails to get around.
If you are looking to explore outside of the city, you can take a train to the Blue Mountains or the Figure 8 pools. These attractions allow you to experience the Australian wildness and see a different side of the country.
Australia is paradise for thrill seeking travelers and adrenaline junkies. Whether you are looking to skydive, bungie jump, or scuba dive, the country offers it all! My favorite activity was the Sydney Bridge Climb, where you are able to climb to the top of the bridge, overlooking the city and the Opera House.

Italy
Italy should be one of the first countries you plan to visit when first starting to travel. The food is simply the best, there are many different cities/towns to see, and Italy is an easy country to navigate for less experienced travelers. Whether you are looking to get lost in the Roman History, sit on the beach in front of the ocean, or experience the different tastes and flavors of the Italian cuisine, Italy offers something for all types of travelers, on all budgets.

Between the two of us, we have been to Italy on 4-separate trips. We have visited the following cities/towns: Rome, Florence, Milan, Venice, Amalfi Coast, Naples, Lake Como, Vatican City, and the Dolomites region. Each location is unique in its own way and as you travel throughout the country, you’re able to experience different Italian foods and cultures.
When visiting, you must be willing to try all of the amazing foods that Italy offers! Some of our personal favorites include, Risotto, Gnocchi, Lemon Spaghetti, Nutella Croissants, Aperol, Tiramisu, and Gelato! Our favorite Risotto is in Milan, Rome offers amazing pasta options, and you can’t go wrong with getting a gelato and looking over the Amalfi Coast.
My favorite city in Italy is Milan. I have visited 2 times now and it does not disappoint! Our most recent trip was over New Years in 2024, where we were able to celebrate New Year’s Eve in front of the Duomo di Milano. The city offers many attractions, such as the Duomo di Milano, the Last Supper Painting, and endless food options. Milan is also a great hub to travel around the country. You are a short train ride away from Venice and the Dolomites, and can take the high speed train down to Italy and Florence .

Bali
Bali is one of the few places in the world that actually lives up to the hype that surrounds it. The small island in Indonesia offers beautiful beaches, dense jungle , and endless temples, to explore. Bali is also known as a yoga sanctuary for all yogis around the world, with the island being full of yoga studios, resorts, and teacher training programs.

There are many great places to stay and visit while traveling to Bali. We stayed in both Seminyak and Ubud, with each town offering different experiences. Seminyak is close to the water and resembles a beach town, while Ubud is more inland, giving a more relaxing jungle experience.
In July of 2023 Mason completed her 200-Hour RYT Yoga Teacher Training in Ubud. Bali. Over a 4-week span, she was able to immerse herself in the Balinese culture and explore all that the amazing island has to offer. I was able to visit Bali back in 2019, while completing an internship in Singapore when I was studying abroad. I met my family there to celebrate Easter vacation. We enjoyed our time relaxing at beach clubs in Seminyak, visiting Elephant Sanctuaries, and exploring rice fields.
The island is truly one of a kind and while it is becoming more and more popular by the year, they do a good job of not allowing the island to feel too touristy. Once in Bali you can make the trip as cost effective or as luxurious as you choose, and your money will go a very long way! Bali is most definitely a destination that everyone must add to their Travel Bucket List!

These bucket list travel Locations are just a few of the many places that we have been lucky enough to visit during our travels abroad. Each country being unique in its own way and offering a unique experience to visitors.
